Happy Holidays from Codecraft
We’ve had a wildly successful Fall here at Codecraft and we are so thankful for everyone involved. To show our gratitude and excitement, we wanted to share some fun information with you all about everything our students (your kids) were doing with Codecraft this semester.
Many of you reading this may know us from one of our extracurricular clubs. This Fall alone we served Seventeen schools across Florida…wow! Through these schools, we served hundreds of students weekly. In these clubs, your kids learned not only how to code, but also learned valuable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and public speaking. Many of our Instructors had students work in groups to create projects, which they then, together, presented to their peers! They also created games and quizzes, which allowed them to partner their interests with their learning.
Codecraft also hosted several programs in Melbourne, which served 40 students weekly. These programs include, but are not limited to, U.S. CyberPatriot competition teams ⎋, Intro to Python Programming and R&D Night. The programs we held at customer hosted sites also served 70 students a week, with one program in Brevard County, one in Leon County and the third in Orange County. We were also lucky enough to help the Junior Girl Scouts earn their cybersecurity badges, which you can read more about here ⎋. It was a busy Fall, and we are so excited for what’s to come this Spring. We’d like to give a special thank you to our teachers, interns, guest speakers, and schools who have partnered with us to share our love of coding with the students of Brevard. You can read through these names below.
Last year Jeremy Peterson designed these Space Invaders-inspired Christmas tree ornaments. Download your 8 bit space invader design here ⎋.
