Learning How to Learn
Codecraft Lab recently hosted a Bite of Science in Melbourne, on Tuesday, March 1st. It was a fantastic evening of professional enrichment, cost-free, for middle and high school teachers made possible by the Center for Excellence in Education ⎋ and sponsored by the Edward T. Bedford Foundation.
The mission of the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) is to assure a future talented and diverse U.S. workforce in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). TEP provides rural and urban underserved high school teachers the opportunity to connect with experts from industry and academia to explore cutting-edge research and make meaningful professional links with direct benefits for their students. Two fantastic speakers engaged the group that evening, Owen Redwood and Marissa Johnsey, have also agreed to let us cross post their talking points. First, below, is the slide deck used for a talk on Learning How to Learn given by cyber security and critical infrastructure expert, Hack All the Things co-founder and Codecraft Lab mentor, Owen Redwood. The next slide deck, following below, from scientist at Craig Technologies, engineering services contract with NASA’S Kennedy Space Center, Marissa Johnsey.
